Job Duties:
- Work under the direction of the Assembly Shop Manager and Mechanical Engineer.
- Interface with Engineering and Panel Shop as required.
- Perform welding duties with MIG and TIG equipment.
- Weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum components as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
- Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products.
- Fabricate parts using a vertical mill and lathe.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, plasma cutter and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
- Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
- Inspect tools and equipment to maintain functionality and safety and notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department for repairs.
- Provide accurate weekly documentation of time per project and task
- All employees are responsible for reading, understanding and complying with the Employee Manual and company safety policies.
- Such other and further responsibilities as directed by the Assembly Shop Manager or Mechanical Engineer.
Experience:
- At least three years of applicable experience with MIG welding, with TIG welding preferred.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
- Candidate must be able to adequately pass background, drug, and physical screenings.
